마르크스와 엥겔스의 『독일 이데올로기』(1845~1846) 중 포이에르바하 장의 진짜저자 문제는 거의 한 세기 동안 토론되어 왔지만, 어떤 공통된 결론에 도달하지 못했다. 왜일까? 내 견해로는, 그 까닭은 어느 누구도 아주 중요한 문제, 즉 포이에르바하 초고들이 구술되었을 가능성에 관해서 검토하지 않았기 때문이다. 나는MEGA2 I/5에 수록된 포이에르바하 장의 초고를 마르크스와 엥겔스의 글쓰기 버릇에 초점을 맞추어 검토했는데, 그 결과 이 초고의 기저 텍스트는 마르크스에 의해구술되고 엥겔스에 의해 필기되었다는 사실을 발견했다. 따라서 그동안 히로마쓰와타루와 테럴 카버 등이 주장해 온 포이에르바하 장 연구에서 마르크스-엥겔스 문제 따위는 있을 수 없다.
Abstract
The issue of authorship of the “Feuerbach” chapter in The German Ideology (1845~1846) had been discussed for nearly a century, but it has not led scholars to a common result. Why? In my opinion, it was because no one ever attempted to examine a very important problem, namely, the possibility that the “Feuerbach” manuscripts could have been dictated. Based on my investigation of the manuscripts of “Feuerbach” chapter, included in MEGA2 I/5, focusing on the differences in the handwriting peculiarities between Marx and Engels, I found that the base text of “Feuerbach” chapter was dictated by Marx and written down by Engels. Then, there should be nothing like the Marx-Engels Problem in the study of the “Feuerbach” chapter, which some scholars, like Wataru Hiromatsu or Terrell Carver, insist on.
