이 연구는 마르크스주의에서 비판이론의 의의를 제시하기 위해 비판이론의 형성및 분화과정을 탐색한 것이다. 19세기 부르주아 시민사회와 사회주의의 동반 실패를 경험한 비판이론가들은 마르크스가 제시했던 인간의 해방이라는 목표를 유지하면서 현실 사회에 대한 정확한 파악과 현재적 의의 및 향후 경향에 대한 올바른 판단을 추구하였다. 그 결과 전체의 변화를 지향하면서 비판적 인식의 탈계급화를 중심으로 하는 비판이론이 수립되었다. 제2차 세계대전의 대량학살이라는 비극을 이해하는 과정에서 서구 문명 근간에 자리한 계몽의 문제에 천착한 비판이론가들은 문화산업으로 대표되는 후기자본주의 체제에서 마르크스에서 유래하는, 체제순응적이지 않은 비판적 사고의 보존을 추구하였다. 하버마스의 의사소통적 합리성으로의전환과 호네트의 사회적 인정 문제에의 천착은 비판이론을 마르크스적 요소로부터멀어지게 했으나, 넥트의 노동연구와 클라우센의 민족주의 연구 등 하노버에서의비판이론적 흐름은 마르크스의 비판적 사고를 계승하고 비판 영역을 확장하기 위해노력하였다. 비판이론은 마르크스주의만으로 설명할 수 없는 사회의 총체적 변화를이해하기 위한 노력의 결과로서, 근본적인 사회변화에 맞추어 마르크스의 사회비판을 일신하고자 하는 목표를 가지고 있었다. 이는 연구자의 기본적인 시각이나 입장에 있어 마르크스에게 받은 영향을 후대에 전함으로써 사회에 대한 '비판적 태도'의중요성을 보여주었으며, 이를 보존하면서 우리는 시대 변화에 맞는 구체적 연구를통해 사회비판의 외연을 넓혀갈 필요가 있다
Abstract
Critical theorists who experienced the simultaneous failure of bourgeois civil society and socialism in the 19th century pursued an accurate understanding of real society and made correct judgments about future trends while maintaining Marx’s goal of human liberation. As a result, a critical theory was established focusing on the declassification of critical perception, while aiming for total social transformation . In the process of understanding the tragedy of the genocide of World War II, critical theorists have focused on the contradictory nature of the Enlightenment project at the foundation of Western civilization. They have also argued that, in the late capitalist system represented by the culture industry, a non-conformist critical thinking about the whole social system was derived from Marx's critical efforts. Although Habermas and Honneth have removed Marxist elements from their theories of communicative rationality and social recognition, a series of published in Hannover, such as Negri's labor studies and Claussen's nationalism studies , try to save elements of Marx's theory and to expand its territory. Critical theory was the result of an effort to understand the total change of society that could not be explained by Marxism alone , and had the goal of renewing Marx's social criticism in line with the goal of fundamental social changes. This shows the importance of a 'critical attitude' toward society by passing on the influence of Marx on the researcher's basic perspective or position to future generations, and while preserving this, broadening the scope of social critique through concrete social research that addresses the social changes of today.
