이론-실천 이분법의 마르크스주의적 극복

이론이나 학문의 합리성에 대한 논의들은 이론의 합리성을 옹호하는 입장과 합리성을 부정하면서 이론이나 학문이 사회적 여건으로부터 완전히 독립적일 수 없다고 주장하는 입장이 대립한다. 그러나 이러한 논쟁은 이분법적 학문모델에 기반 하고 있어서 이론과 학문의 본성에 대한 이해를 위해 바람직하지 않다. 합리성 논쟁에서 생산적인 결과를 기대하기 위해서는 새로운 학문모델을 필요로 한다. 정통 마르크스주의 학문모델은 이론과 실천의 모순적 구분법을 극복하고 통합적으로 이해할 수 있는 단초를 제공할 수 있다. 마르크스주의 학문모델에서는 인식과 실천의 통합된 학문(특별히 과학)의 면모를 볼 수 있을 것이다. 또한 마르크스주의 모델을 통해 협소한 의미의 이분법적 대립 구도를 극복하고 학문들에 대한 사회적, 정치적, 윤리적 등등 다각적인 시각을 취할 수 있을 것이다.
Abstract
Defenders of rationality emphasis on the independence of science from society, while the debunkers of irrationality of science contend that it depends on social conditions. I discuss that they both assume the dichotomy of science. However, it is a unproductive soil for the debates on rationality of science as long as they depend on a dichotomy of theory and practice. On the other hand, marxist model can provides a basis for overcoming the dichotomy. In marxist model, theory and practice are dialogically synthesized. Marxist model shows how rationality and irrationality of science is tangled with social conditions.
