중·한 한자 반의어 의미구조 대조 연구 -‘前/后+x’, ‘전/후+x’구조를 중심으로

‘前/后+x’, ‘전/후+x’구조는 각각 반의어이다. 그러나 이 반의어는 실질적인 쓰임에 있어 대칭 양상도 있지만 비대칭 양상도 있다. 대칭 양상은 ‘前窗-后窗’, ‘전륜(前轮)-후륜(后轮)’과 반의어이다. 비대칭 양상은 ‘??전탈(前頉)-후탈(後頉)’, ‘??前爸-后爸’, ‘전례(前例)-??후례(后例)’등 과 같은 반의어이고, 이들은 형식이나 의미가 비대칭이다. 이런 현상은 제2언어를 배우는 학습자들의 난제이고 사용 시 오류를 유발하는 원인이 된다. 본 고는 반의어 ‘前/后+x’, ‘전/후+x’구조가 각 의미에서 대칭 양상과 비대칭 양상을 밝혀, 제2언어 학습자가 ‘前/后+x’, ‘전/후+x’구조를 사용하는데 어려움을 해결해 줄 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 그러기 위해 우선, 선행연구의 코퍼스의 한계를 보완하기 위해, ‘前/后+x’,‘전/후+x’구조의 사전과 코퍼스를 모두 활용하였다. 다음으로, Lakoff&Johnson(1980)의 ‘공간 은유 이론’에 근거하여 ‘前/后+x’, ‘전/후+x’구조의 의미를 재분류하였다. 이로써 의미 분류를 재정립하여 의미론적 분류가 이론적 근거를 갖도록 하였다. 구체적으로 공간 의미(원형 의미) 및 추상 의미(확장 의미), 즉 시간/논리 관계 의미로 분류하였고, 논리 관계 의미는 상황/사실/친족/지위/문화 지리/서면 형식으로 소분류 하였다. 마지막으로 ‘前/后+x’, ‘전/후+x’구조의 각 의미 항목들의 대칭 양상과 비대칭 양상을 고찰하였다. 그 결과 ‘前/后+x’는 1차원 공간 의미, 2차원 공간 의미, 시간 의미 등에서 주로 형식과 의미의 대칭임을 발견하였다. ‘前/后+x’는 상황 의미, 사실 의미, 친족 의미, 지위 의미에서 형식과 의미의 비대칭을 발견하였다. ‘전/후+x’는 2차원 의미, 시간 의미, 서면 형식 의미 등에서 주로 형식과 의미의 대칭이 많이 출현됨을 발견하였다. ‘전/후+x’는 상황 의미, 사실 의미, 시간, 2차원 공간 의미에서 형식과 의미의 비대칭이 많이 출현됨을 발견하였다.
Abstract
The Chinese "前/后+x" structure and the Korean "전/후+x" structure are antonyms respectively. In practical use, however, this antonym has both a symmetrical and asymmetrical side. This phenomenon becomes difficult for second language learners and causes inconvenience when using it. This paper reveals the symmetry and asymmetry of the Chinese "前/后+x" structure and the Korean "전/후+x" structure. So that the second language learners can use the Chinese "front/back+x" structure and the Korean "전/후+x" structure accurately. To this end, this paper makes the following points. First, in order to supplement the limitations of the corpora studied by previous studies, this paper uses dictionaries and corpora to analyze the Chinese "前/后+x"structure and the Korean "전/후+x" structure. Secondly, based on the spatial metaphor theory of Lakoff & Johnson (1980), the semantics of the Chinese "前/后+x" structure and the Korean "전/후+x" structure are reclassified. The re-established semantic classification has a theoretical basis. Specifically, the semantics are divided into "spatial semantics (source domain)" and "abstract semantics (target domain)", that is, "temporal semantics/logical relationship semantics". And, the semantics of logical relationship is subdivided into "situation semantics/factual semantics/kinship semantics/status semantics/cultural geography semantics/written form semantics". Finally, the symmetry and asymmetry of each semantic item of the Chinese "前/后+x" structure and the Korean "전/후+x" structure are examined. The results show that "前/后+x" is a symmetric relationship between structure and semantics in one-dimensional space semantics, two-dimensional space semantics and time semantics. "前/后+x" is an asymmetric relationship between structure and semantics in situation semantics, factual semantics, kinship semantics, status semantics, etc. The structure of "전/후+x" is mainly the symmetric relationship between structure and semantics in time meaning, two-dimensional space semantics and written formal semantics. It is found that "전/후+x" is an asymmetric relationship between structure and semantics in case semantics, factual semantics, time semantics and two-dimensional space semantics.
