본 연구에서는 방송·통신·인터넷이 융합·연계되고 있는 작금의 상황을 방통융합 1.0환경으로 본다. 그리고 그 이후의 사물 인터넷, 시간망, 공간망이 동기화되어 탄생할 새로운 디지털 미디어의 생태계를 방통융합 2.0으로 본다. 본 연구의 목적은 새로운 네트워크 혁신이 방통융합 2.0시대의 미디어 빅뱅을 선도하는 심층기반(Deep Infrastructure)으로 보고 2020년을 목표로 하는 방통융합대국의 기본전략을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에 서는 네트위크, 컴퓨팅, 인프라의 관점에서 각각 중장기적 발전방향을 고찰한다. 이 과정을 통하여 만물지능네트워크 (AToN: All Things on Network)의 선제적 구축 필요성을 제안함과 동시에 방통융합대국으로 진입하는데 요구되는 ‘만물지능통신망’개념과 구축전략 그리고 정책 방향성 등을 제안한다.
Abstract
This paper presents a big picture of digital convergence for next-generation networks in Korea. In this paper, to distinguish the current digital convergence environments from future ones, we call present state "convergence phase 1.0", and new digital media system composed of the internet of things, network of time and places "convergence phase 2.0". The purpose of this study is to offer medium-long term strategies for the development of networks, computing and infrastructure targeting 2020, which can make Korea digital convergence phase 2.0 leading country. Also we propose the construction of a new type of network called "All Things on Network (AToN)" and present its concept, implied strategy and policy suggestions.
