Abstract

The factors affecting the effectiveness of lifelongeducator training program for the development of professional abilityJeon, Do-Geun(Kangnam University)Kim, YoungHwa(Hongik University)This study attempted to examine the effectiveness of the lifelongeducator training program for professional ability development and the factors affecting the effectiveness. A survey questionnaire method was employed and the responses of 92 lifelongeducator certificate holders working in the field were analyzed. Respondents perceived that the training program was effective on professional ability development to a considerable degree. Among the effectiveness for professional ability development, the effectiveness for developing the planning ability was the highest followed by the ability for program development, administration, program operation, marketing, and teaching. The learner variables and the degree of educational program satisfaction were found to have significant effects on the effectiveness of lifelongeducator training program for professional ability development. The learner variables have indirect effects mediated by the effect of educational program satisfaction variable on the effectiveness of the training program, It was found that the higher the degree of educational program satisfaction, education, and age of respondents and the lower their income, the stronger the effectiveness of the training program.
