중학생의 부모-자녀 간 의사소통이 학교적응에 미치는 영향: 자기효능감의 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 부모-자녀 간 의사소통이 중학생의 학교적응에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통과 학교적응의 관계에서 중학생의 자기효능감이 매개역할을 하는지를 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 대구·경북 지역의 중학교에 재학 중인 1, 2, 3학년 학생 463명을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0과 AMOS 21.0 Program을 사용하여 분석하였다. 연구를 통해 얻어진 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통은 중학생의 학교적응에 직접적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중학생의 자기효능감은 부모-자녀 간 의사소통과 학교적응의 관계에서 간접적인 영향력을 발휘하는 것으로 나타나 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통은 중학생의 학교적응에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있을 뿐만 아니라, 자기효능감을 매개하여 간접적으로도 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 부분매개효과를 가지고 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 부모-자녀 간 의사소통과 자기효능감에 적절히 개입함으로써 중학생의 학교적응을 높일 수 있는 실천적 방안을 논의하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of parent-adolescent communication on school adjustment among middle school student and whether young adults’ self-efficacy played any mediating roles in the relationship between parent-adolescent communication and school adjustment. 463 participants were in middle schools located in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province. The findings showed that parent-adolescent communication had direct effect on school adjustment, and school adjustment was indirectly affected by parent-adolescent communication through the medium of self-efficacy. When it came to the structural relationship of variables (parent-adolescent communication, self-efficacy, and school adjustment) in middle school student, self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between parent-adolescent communication and school adjustment. The study suggests methods to prevent school maladjustment by properly intervening in parent-adolescent communication and adolescents’ self-efficacy.
