본 연구에서는 남성 경찰공무원의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 요인과 여성 경찰공무원의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 요인을 비교 하여 남성 경찰공무원과 여성 경찰공무원의 특성을 파악하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 남성 경찰공무원과 여성 경찰공무원의 직무만족도의 영향요인을 분석 및 비교하고자 하는 이유는 여성 경찰공무원의 효과적인 활용이 갖는 중요성 때문이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하고자 2020년 하반기 경찰관 직무만족도 조사를 활용하였으며, 조사 기간 은 2020년 10월 5일부터 10월 18일 동안 진행되었다. 조사 응답자는 총 75,462명이며 이 중 남성 경찰공무원은 66,566명이며, 여성 경찰공무원은 8,896명이다. 연구결과, 남성 경찰공무원의 직무만족도에 미치는 영향요인은 교육, 인사·성과관리, 직무, 복지 그리고 근무환경 순으로 조사되었다. 여성 경찰공무원의 직무만족도에 미치는 영향요인은 교육, 직무, 인사·성과관리, 복지 그리고 근무환경 순으로 조사되었다. 이러한 결과로 보아 남성 경찰공무원 과 여성 경찰공무원의 직무만족도에 가장 큰 영향요인으로는 교육으로 적절한 교육의 제공이 모든 경찰공무원의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알 수 있다. 다음으로 남성 경찰공무원은 인사·성과관리, 여성 경찰공무원은 직무로 각각 직무만족도에 있어서 각기 다른 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 남성 경찰공무원 뿐 아니라 여성 경찰공무원의 직무만족도를 향상 시킬 수 있는 정책적 제언을 하고자 한다.
Abstract
In this study, the characteristics of male police officers and female police officers were identified by comparing the factors affecting the job satisfaction of male police officers and the factors affecting the job satisfaction of female police officers. The reason for analyzing and comparing the factors affecting job satisfaction of male and female police officers in this study is the importance of effective use of female police officers. For the purpose of this study, the police officer job satisfaction survey in the second half of 2020 was used, and the survey period was from October 5 to October 18, 2020. A total of 75,462 people responded, of which 66,566 were male police officers and 8,896 female police officers. As a result of the study, the factors affecting the job satisfaction of male police officers were investigated in the order of education, HR/performance management, job, welfare, and working environment. The factors affecting the job satisfaction of female police officers were investigated in the order of education, job, personnel/performance management, welfare, and working environment. As a result, it can be seen that the most influential factor on the job satisfaction of male and female police officers is education, and the provision of appropriate education affects the job satisfaction of all police officers. It can be seen that male police officers have different effects on personnel management and performance management, and female police officers have different effects on job satisfaction. Based on the results of this study, we intend to make policy recommendations to improve job satisfaction of female police officers as well as male police officers.
