교환학생 대상의 한국어 교재 개발을 위한 요구 분석 연구 -초급 학습자와 교수자를 중심으로-
Study on Developing Korean Textbook for Exchange Students -Based on Needs Analysis of Beginners and Instructors-

The number of Korean language learners for academic purpose has been increased. Among them, there are foreign exchange students who take academic courses and learn Korean language at the university in Korean. However, few researches about them can be found. The aim of this study is to discuss the characteristics of the beginner exchange students and eventually to suggest some implications to design a textbook for the exchange students based on the results of needs analysis. The needs analysis has been conducted by both 123 students and 5 instructors through questionnaires and interviews. Considering the results and educational settings, the textbook for them should (1) be designed according to the 15-16 weeks, twice a week, 3 credits, (2) cover the proper vocabulary suitable for their situation, (3) include chapters such as ordering food at restaurants, buying goods, asking for locations and directions and using public transportations in front of the textbook, (4) be useful for self-studying, (5) take much consideration on learning the Korean alphabet, Hangul, (6) display useful expressions according to their learning goals as survival Korean.
