Abstract

Hwang, In-Kyo. 2005. A case study on the development of the Korean language textbooks - Focused on the new textbook, Korean 1, of KLI, Yonsei University. Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language, 30, 265～309. The study is to examine the development of the Korean language textbooks. Korean 1 developed by the KLI of Yonsei University has been taken as an example regarding the development of Korean language textbooks. The development of the textbooks is progressed in four phases, predevelopment, development, test and completion. To begin with, the researcher discusses the theoretical reviews of these phases and characteristics of the development of the Korean 1, and it also presents an overview of the whole and an in-depth affairs of the Korean 1's development. The present work finally presents the real state of affairs of textbooks' development, taking Yonsei University's development of the Korean 1 as an example. (Yonsei University)
