Abstract
This study explores local food movement as a possible lifestyle mitigation-adaption measure for the Anthropocene new normal analyzing local food experience in Alisa Smith and James Mackinnon’s The 100-Mile Diet: A Year of Local Eating. with Abraham Maslow’s Human Motivation Theory. Through exploring this possibility, it reveals that local food movement can not only satisfy people’s needs but motivate the Need for Self-Actualization like making relations with outer world and realizing their own wants. One of them can be to participate in political process for reflecting and supporting local food movement. This result can help us to find out new life style in order to co-exist with non-human world in the Anthropocene new normal era. One of the most effective ways to settle local food movement down as most dominant food system in the world can be people’s concern and supports.
