청소년 디지털 성범죄의 영향요인에 관한 연구: 성별 조절효과를 중심으로

초록

본 연구는 청소년 디지털 성범죄의 피해경험과 가해경험을 통합적으로 분석하였다. 기존 연구들이 가해경험 중심의 분석에 치중했던 한계를 보완하고자, 피해 및 가해 경험의 유무와 수준을 함께 살펴보았다. 개인의 정서적 특성, 가정환경, 학교환경, 사회적 태도, 온라인 행동 등 다각도의 영향요인을 탐색하였으며, 성별의 조절효과를 확인하였다. 한국청소년정책연구원의 2021년 아동청소년 대상 디지털 성범죄 현황 및 대응방안 연구의 공개자료를 활용하였으며, 전체 연구대상은 2,151명(남학생 1,105명, 51.4%)이었다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 남학생이 여학생보다 피해 및 가해 경험 비율이 높았으며 특히 가해 경험 수준에서 더 큰 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 스트레스, 부모모니터링, 교사관계, 성 고정관념이 공통적으로 디지털 성범죄 경험 유무와 수준에 영향을 미쳤으며, 부모-자녀관계, 교우관계, 익명계정 사용, 오픈채팅 참여 여부는 차별적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 오픈채팅 참여 여부와 피해경험 수준, 부모 모니터링 및 성 고정관념과 가해경험 수준에서 성별의 조절효과가 확인되었다. 본 연구는 청소년 디지털 성범죄 예방을 위한 통합적 접근의 필요성을 제시하고, 성별 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 정책 수립의 기초자료를 제공했다는 데 의의가 있다.

Abstract

This study aimed to integrate the experiences of victimization and perpetration of digital sexual crimes among adolescents. To compensate for the limitations of previous studies that focused on perpetration experiences, the presence and level of victimization and perpetration experiences were analyzed together. Various influencing factors, such as individual emotional characteristics, home environment, school environment, social attitudes, and online behavior, were examined, and the moderating effects of gender were confirmed. The data were obtained from the Korea Youth Policy Research Institute's 2021 Study on the Status of Digital Sexual Crimes Against Children and Adolescents, and the total number of participants was 2,151 (1,105 were boys, 51.4%). The results of the analysis showed that, first, boys experienced higher rates of victimization and perpetration than girls, with greater differences in the level of perpetration. Second, stress, parental monitoring, teacher relationships, and gender stereotypes commonly influence the presence and level of digital sexual crimes. In contrast, parent-child relationships, friendships, use of anonymous accounts, and participation in open chat had differential effects. Third, there were significant moderating effects of gender on the level of victimization experience for open chat participation and moderating effects of gender on the level of victimization experience for parental monitoring and gender stereotyping. This study is significant because it suggests the need for an integrated approach to the prevention of digital sexual crimes among adolescents, and provides a basis for the development of tailored interventions that take into account gender characteristics.
