국어과 쓰기 영역 ‘과정 중심 평가’ 구체화를 위한 관련 용어 및 특성 고찰

이 연구는 결과 중심의 일회적 평가로만 이루어지던 쓰기 평가의 한계를 극복할 수 있는 방향을 제시하기 위하여 2015 개정 교육과정 도입과 함께 강조되고 있는 ‘과정 중심 평가’에 주목하였다. 그리고 쓰기 영역에서 ‘과정 중심 평가’를 어떻게 정의하는 것이 타당한지, 이러한 정의에 근거할 때 ‘과정 중심 쓰기 평가’의 실행 시에는 어떠한 측면이 고려되어야 하는지를 탐색하였다. 그 결과 쓰기 영역에서의 ‘과정 중심 평가’를 ‘쓰기 수행 과정 및 쓰기 태도의 변화 과정을 비롯한 쓰기 학습 과정을 지속적‧누적적으로 관찰하여 학생의 쓰기 학습과 쓰기 수업의 개선에 활용하되, 교사 평가 외에도 학생이 주체가 되는 평가를 시행하여 쓰기 학습에 대한 학생 주도의 성찰과 개선이 이루어지도록 하는 순환적 과정’으로 정의하였다. 그리고 쓰기 영역에서 ‘과정 중심 평가’ 실행 시의 유의점으로 다음의 세 가지를 제안하였다. 첫째, 학생 주도의 성찰과 쓰기 학습 개선을 위한 기회가 제공되어야 한다. 둘째, 평가 방법을 다양화하되, 특정 평가 방법을 ‘과정 중심 평가’와 동일한 층위로 인식하지 않도록 해야 한다. 셋째, 쓰기 학습에 대한 학생의 성찰과 개선 기회가 제공되기 위해서 학생이 피드백의 주체가 되도록 해야 한다.
Abstract
This study focused on 'process-oriented assessment', which is emphasized along with the introduction of the revised curriculum 2015, in order to suggest directions to overcome the limitations of writing assessment, which was only a result-based one-time assessment. In addition, I examined how to define the 'process-oriented assessment' in the writing area and what aspects should be considered as the main principle when implementing the 'process-oriented writing assessment' based on this definition. As a result, 'process-oriented writing assessment' is ‘Observing and collecting the process of learning writing, and using information about the process of learning writing for providing feedback to improve learning writing, and emphasizing student-led reflection and improvement’. In addition, the main principles of 'process-oriented writing assessment' are: First, Opportunities for student-led reflection and improvement of learning writing should be provided. Second, diversify assessment methods, but do not recognize specific assessment methods on the same level as ‘process-oriented assessment’. Third, in order to provide students with reflection and improvement opportunities for learning writing, students should be the subject of feedback.
