이 연구는 대화주의 작문 이론이 논증적 글쓰기 교육을 설계하는 데 어떤 시사점을 줄 수 있는지를 논구하고, 이를 통해 논증적 글쓰기 교육의 방향성을 정립하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 현행 교육 과정의 논증적 글쓰기에 대해 비판적으로 검토하고, 논증적 글쓰기의 ‘수행’적 측면에 대해 고민하여 방법론을 마련해야 함을 파악하였다. 논증적 글쓰기에서 대상과의 대화가 논증적 글쓰기를 통해 ‘무엇을 생성할 것인가’에 대한 방법론이 되었다면, 독자와의 대화는 ‘어떻게 생성할 것인가’에 대한 방법론적 측면이 되어줄 수 있다. 또한 대화주의 작문이론에서의 논증적 글쓰기는 일종의 통시적이고(대상) 공시적인(독자) 차원, 다시 말해 ‘기존의 것과 새로운 것’, ‘요청과 응답’이라는 중층적이고 역동적인 대화의 틀 속에서 진행되는 것이라고 할 수 있다. ‘대화 수행’을 중심으로 한 논증적 글쓰기 교육의 방향은 첫째, ‘대상’과의 대화의 장을 마련해 준다는 점에서 내용 생성을 위해 ‘읽기’가 필수적이며, 둘째, 머리 속 의미 구성 행위가 아니라 ‘쓰기 행위’를 통해 비로소 완성되는 것이며, 셋째, 객관적이고 완결된 형태의 ‘글’보다는, ‘필자’와 ‘독자’와 ‘대상’의 다성적인 목소리들을 있는 그대로 이해하고, 대화를 수행해나가는 행위로서의 글쓰기를 문화적으로 장려할 필요가 있다.
Abstract
The study aims to look for suggestion the composition theory by dialogism to argumentative writing education design, and to investigate into a new direction of argumentative writing education. For this purpose, critically review the argumentative writing in 2015 revised Korean language curriculum, as a result it should be consider ‘performance’ side of argumentative writing in order that develop a methodology. Argumentative writing based on dialogism is performed by multi layered and dynamic conversation with such as ‘old and new’, ‘request and response’ and ‘diachrony(object) and synchrony(reader)’. Argumentative writing focused on ‘conversation performance’ can be taught as follows. First, it is required to ‘reading’ developing contents in opened up conversations with ‘object’. Second, argumentative writing is completed not by internal construction of meaning but by ‘writing performance’. Third, it is necessary to culturally encouraging conversation performance between ‘writer’, ‘reader’ and ‘object’, instead of completing a objective ‘text’.
