초등 국어 글쓰기 교육 방법론 검토

초록

이 연구는 초등 글쓰기 교수·학습 전략의 기초를 이루는 쓰기 교육 방법론을 어떻게 분류하고 평가하는지 살펴보는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등 글쓰기 교육과 관련된 국내 선행 연구와, 영미권 자국어 교과 선행 연구를 검토하여 초등학교 글쓰기 교육의 근간을 이루는 글쓰기 방법론을 어떻게 접근하고 교육 내용과 목표를 설정하고 있는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 국내외 선행 연구 검토를 통해 영미권 초등 글쓰기 이론과 구성 요인을 설명하고, 영미권 학계에서는 각 방법론을 어떻게 평가하였는지 논의하였다. 초등 글쓰기 이론과 관련된 논의는 우리나라 초등 교육과 다른 맥락, 교육 체계 안에서 이루어졌으나 우리에게도 지난한 교육과정 개편과 개선을 위한 성찰의 실마리를 제시한다.

Abstract

As a basis of teaching and learning strategies for writing in elementary school, this study aims to examine the classification and evaluation of writing approaches. It provides a review on studies related to writing education in elementary schools and those on the English and American language arts subjects. Furthermore, it aims to elucidate the implementation of writing approaches and establishment of educational content and goals. Through a review of studies conducted at the local and international levels, the study highlights the approaches and constituent factors of elementary school writing. Moreover, it covered the evaluation of each approach in the English and American academia. Although the discussion related to writing approaches used in elementary schools was conducted in a context and an educational system that differed from those of South Korea, it provided directions for studies focusing on the reform and improvement of the curriculum.
