Abstract
So far scholars have not paid much attention to the activities of Paul for the first three years after his conversion. First of all, there is a lack of data, so it is impossible to know exactly what Paul did. Paul described his actions briefly, but there is no additional data to clarify things properly. After checking the sources concerned, the following conclusions were drawn. Paul first went to Arabia shortly after his conversion. Many scholars claim that Paul went to Arabia to carry out missionary work. However, there is no evidence for this, and there is no report that Paul achieved anything through his Arabian activities. Therefore, it is reasonable to think that Paul went to Arabia to investigate the revelations he had received, and to have time for self-reflection. Second, Paul returned to Damascus after his stay in Arabia. Paul went to Damascus because he wanted the Damascus believers to recognize that he had become a new person. Paul also needed help to visit Jerusalem. Third, Paul visited Jerusalem and met only Cephas and the Lord's brother James. The Acts of the Apostles recount that Paul received official recognition from the Jerusalem Church. However, Paul insisted from the beginning that he had no intention of receiving official recognition from the Jerusalem Church.
