Abstract
Juan Madrid has a reputation as the most faithful writer to the Spanish black novel genre, and adds verisimilitudity to the work by elaborating on the lives of the marginalized and lower classes against the backdrop of the contact point between the upper and lower classes of Madrid. The seventh of his eight Toni Romano series Adiós, princesa, based on a real person named Prince Felipe and related anecdotes, accuses the activities of private information and security companies in Spain that can reasonably suspect. The relationship between these companies and power will be denounced in detail. As Juan Madrid, who always writes works using the genre of black novel to reveal the truth hidden in society, the content of his works becomes credible, and the reader listens to the voices in his works. Therefore, Adiós, princesa makes the reader think about who has the real power and influence behind what is happening in Spanish society, and, as he intended, this work is his another revelation of the truth hidden in the Spanish society.
