한국과 일본의 대중국 무역의존도 변화와 특징 분석

본 논문은 중국경제의 고성장에 따른 동북아 역내 교역구조가 어떠한 형태로 변화하고 있으며, 이러한 변화가 한국과 일본의 산업생산 및 무역에 어떠한 영향을 미치고 있는가를 국제산업연관분석 모형을 통해 실증적으로 고찰하는데 중점을 두고 있다. 분석결과, 한중간의 중간재 수입의존구조는 양국의 주력 수출산업을 중심으로 2008년 한국의 대중국 무역의존도가 심화되고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 양국간 중간재 수입의존관계가 1990년대 한국 중심에서 중국 중심으로 강화되고 있음을 의미한다. 이른바 한국경제에서 중국의 영향력이 더욱 커지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 향후 이러한 구조적 관계가 심화될 경우, 그동안 제기되어 온 한중간 무역 확대가 한국의 대중국 무역흑자를 유발하는 구조적 무역불균형 문제는 예상보다 빠른 시점에서 해소될 가능성에 주목해야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This Paper focuses on analyzing the structural of Trade Dependency between Korea, China and Japan. Specifically, the study adopted an international input-output framework to quantitatively measure the international interdependence between the three economies. Empirical analysis was carried out by determining the dominant relationship in the production technology structures of the three countries using import coefficients and production inducement coefficients. The fact that the industrial linkage between Korea-China and Japan-China is more deeply interdependent and highly competitive compared with the Korea-Japan linkage. Finally, the industrial linkage in the electronics industry of Korea, China and Japan was found to be significantly tight, which implies that the three countries' interdependence in the industry has been deepening, and that China is rapidly upgrading its industrial structure and catching up with Korea and Japan.
