관동대지진 관련 문학으로 본 조선인관‒자연주의 작가를 중심으로‒

본고에서는 자연주의 작가인 타야마 가타이의『東京震災記』와 대지진 엄습으로부터 불과 1개월 후부터 발표된 도손의 『아들에게 보내는 편지(子に送る手紙)』, 풍자적 형태로 쓴 슈세이의 『소화기』에 나타난 조선인의 묘사를 통해 일본인의 조선인에 대한 심상(心象)을 고찰하였다. 가타이는 진재 후의 도쿄의 외형적인 면, 상황을 자세히 묘사하였고, 슈세이는 당시 일본인의 심상을 풍자적으로 묘사했다. 도손, 가타이는 지진 당시의 조선인의 소동이 유언비어였다는 것을 인식했다. 6천명이 넘는 조선인 학살에는 부족하지만, 최대한의 피해상황도 기록한 것이다. 도손은 조선인을 적이라고 표현하면서도 일본인 내부에 적이 있다는 표현을 하고 있다. 시대상황의 한계에도 불구하고 역사상의 일대 사건인 관동대지진의 기록을 통해 도손, 가타이, 슈세이는 각기 다른 형식으로 진실을 추구하고자 하였는데, 여기에는 진정한 작가정신이 있었다고 판단된다.
Abstract
Ｔhrough depiction of the Korean who appeared in “account of the Tokyo earthquake disaster” of Katai who is a writer of naturalism , “Letter sent to a son” of Touson announced in this novel after only one month from the big earthquake attack and “fire gun” of Shusei written with the satirical form It considered the image to Korean whom Japanese felt. Katai described in detail the outside side and the account of in Tokyo of after an earthquake disaster and Shusei described satirically the Japanese image those days. Touson, Katai recognizes that the disturbance of the Korean was a false rumor. Although it is insufficient to 6000 Koreans’ slaughter, Touson and Katai recorded the maximum damage situation. Touson had expression that an enemy is in the inside of a Japanese, though Koreans are referred to as being an enemy. Despite the limit of a time situation, through record of the Great Kanto Earthquake which is a historical serious-affair, Touson, katai, and Shusei pursued the truth respectively, it is judged that there was true writer soul.
