‘처용신화’를 재구성하는 현대적 異本考 - 김춘수의 「처용단장」연구

Abstract

This research will study「Cheoyong-literary fragment」on the basis of ‘Cheoyong myth’. ‘Cheoyong myth’ is a typical text being written back in the modern literature field. This is a reinterpretation of the myth. And this is a reproduction of a ne narrative. Therefore Kim Ch’un-su’s 「Cheoyong-literary fragment」is a sourec of rich ‘Cheoyong myth’ as the different manuscript. The main motif of ‘Cheoyong myth’ is cloud and mist, a sea(Cheoyong),the evil of smallpox, Cheoyong’s wife, a dance and song. These correspond to subtitle of 「Cheoyong-literary fragment」. 「Cheoyong-literary fragment」is composed of four subtitles. The subtitle of Part 1, ‘a snow’, ‘a sea’, ‘a camellia flower’ respectively corresponds to cloud and mist, a sea (Cheoyong), Cheoyong’s wife. Also The subtitle of Part 2, ‘an audible sound’ or ‘an echo’ is closely related with ‘a dance and song’ of ‘Cheoyong myth’. Finally, the subtitle of Part 4, ‘snake feet’ is superfluous. That is a further explanation of Part 1,2,3. This study is laying the ground work that can be interpretated 「Cheoyong-literary fragment」as meaningless poetry by ‘Cheoyong myth’. On the other hand, this study solves difficult codes of ‘Cheoyong myth’through the study on subtitle of「Cheoyong-literary fragment」. The related study of ‘Cheoyong myth’ and 「Cheoyong-literary fragment」can be useful as the meeting point of ancient and modern.
