신경림 시에 나타난 여성의 예속적 주체화 방식 연구

Abstract

Examining the ways of women’s subordinated subjectivation appearing in Sin Gyeong-rim’s poems, this study presents that the poetic embodiment of females (femininity) forms the field to reveal the non-discoursed power and strategy of androcentrism. Concerning Sin Gyeong-rim’s poems of the people, it does not seem that the poet separates women from ‘us’ or reproduces them as trivial and light beings intentionally. In fact, female readers, too, so far have been accepting such expressions without much refusal. The ground that allows readers to understand the writer’s expressions unconsciously made naturally is the sociopolitical dispositif shared between the writer and readers. The works dealt with in this study include his poems of the people created in the 1970’s to 80’s and relatively recent works produced in 2014, too. Considering the world of his works lasting for about 40 years, this author has found that the poet and society’s gaze about women has not changed that much. In his works, sometimes, women still become a sexual object and soon get otherized by the male poet’s gaze while being the most persecuted beings in the problematic scene of the time. It cannot be understood just as the limitation of a male poet, and we cannot exclude the dispositif of hierarchical gender in our society internalized in his gaze. In the world of Sin Gyeong-rim’s poems, women keep being reproduced superficially. Here, we should figure out why they are reproduced diversely in such ways and what sort of unconsciousness is involved in it. When femininity is recorded in multi-sexuality of the people and the semantic network of society mingled with the reproduction of females (femininity) can be comprehended, Sin Gyeong-rim’s pomes can be freed from the limitations of previous uni-layered history of literature and show us a new-dimensional world of works to exhibit multilayered capabilities. This is the task to record females (femininity) in the constitution of the people as subjects and ask about the meaning of it, and it will also broaden the spectrum of Sin Gyeong-rim’s literature of the people by reinterpreting it and ask again about the current issues of females mediated by it at the same time.
