본 연구는 숲 체험 프로그램이 저소득층 아동의 사회성과 우울에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실행되었다. 본 연구의 자료는 강원도 S시설의 숲 체험 프로그램에 참여하는 지역아동센터 아동을 실험집단(120명)으로, 숲 체험 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 방과 후 아동을 비교집단(120명)으로 선정하여 수집되었다. 2011년 1월부터 4월까지 2박 3일의 숲 체험 프로그램이 실시되었으며, pretest-posttest control group design에 의해 자료가 수집되었다. 연구 결과, 숲 체험 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 저소득층 아동에게서 사회성이 향상되고, 우울증이 감소되었으며 통계적으로도 유의하였다. 그러나 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 비교집단 저소득층 아동에게서는 이러한 차이가 발견되지 않았다.
Abstract
This study was performed to investigate the influence of forest experience program on Children low income families’ sociality and depression. From January to July of 2011, 3day 2night program were performed to 120 children low income families of experimenting group in <S> training center in Kang won do. Comparison group were selected to 120 children low income families’ in youth academy. The results of data analyses indicated that there were improvements in their depression and sociality level after their participation in the programs. However,Comparison group, these differences were not found.
