The aim of this paper is to address strategies for the adjacency pairs of ‘question-answer’ in the TV talk-show, <People inside> which is very popular in Korea. First, we discuss a general theoretical frame. Second, we describe main characters in the show. There are two participants, one host and one guest in the talk show. The strategies of the semi-institutional conversation in one on one conversation has been found in this respect. As a result of analysis of the conversations in the talk show, there are three questions types which are namely confirming information, fact seeking and emotional expressions demand. According to the question types, various strategies for answer has also been found which has led to interlocutor’s roles and goals of the conversation.
