최근 자연보전 및 환경정책의 빠른 흐름에 발맞춰 국내 생태관광 활동에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다.생태계서비스 기능 중 문화서비스의 가치는 인간이 자연으로부터 얻는 신체적·정신적 혜택이 강조되면서 중요시 되고 있고, 생태관광과 문화서비스와의 관계성에 대한 관심은 높아지고 있다. 더 나아가 문화서비스의 관점에서 보면 생태관광을 통해 인간 삶의 질이 향상되어 질 수 있기 때문에 생태관광을 문화서비스의 한 지표로 한다양한 기초데이터가 필요하며, 이런 연구 자료를 바탕으로 정책적용에 기여할 수 있는 방법론적 연구 방향의수립 및 지원이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내외 생태관광 및 문화서비스 기능에 대한 연구 동향 및 방안제시를 통해 생태관광이 문화서비스 지표로 사용되어 평가되기 위해서는 생물다양성 및 생태계서비스 기능 등과의 관계성을 나타낼 수 있는 기초 연구가 필요하다는 것을 암시하고 있다.
Abstract
Ecotourism has been rapidly growing in interest to the activities in accordance with the trend of natural conservation and environmental policy. The concept of cultural services, one of the ecosystem service functions, is increasingly interested because of the relationship between ecotourism and cultural services as the emphasis on physical and spiritual benefits of human beings from nature. Furthermore, because the quality of human life can be improved through ecotourism from the viewpoint of cultural services, various basic research data with ecotourism as an indicator of cultural services are needed. Based on the research information, it is necessary to establish and support methodological research directions that can contribute to policy application. This study implies that the basic research related to the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem service function is needed in order for ecotourism as an index of cultural services to be used in cultural service assessment.
