치유의 숲 내 치유숲길 이용특성에 관한 연구 - 한·일간 치유숲길 사례비교를 중심으로 -

연구는 산림 치유의 목적을 가지고 조성된 한국과 일본의 치유숲길을 대상으로 이용자들이 숲길 내어떤 공간에서 어떻게 치유적 효과를 경험하는 지를 파악하였다. 2007년 세라피로드로 인증된 일본 도쿄도 히노하라 도민의숲의 ‘오타키길’(0.9km) 과 국내 치유의 숲 세 곳 중 이용객 수가 가장 많고 편백나무에 의해 치유기능이 뛰어나다고 알려진 장성 치유의 숲의 ‘숲내음숲길’(1.0km)을 대상으로 하였으며, 스트레스와 같은 정신적, 심리적 질병이 있는 일반 이용자를 대상으로 회복환경 인식조사(PRS) 및 치유 행태 파악을 위한 인식조사를실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 오타키길이 숲내음숲길에 비해 주요지점(CP)들이 뚜렷하고 강한 특성을 보여주고있어 치유공간으로서의 공간별 고유성이 강하게 나타났다. 둘째, 두 대상지 모두 새롭고 흥미로운 경관은 이용객들에게는 강한 치유자극으로 인식되었다. 셋째, 숲내음숲길의 주요 치유요소는 ‘탈출감(being away)’이며 오타키길의 주요 치유요소는 ‘매력감(fascination)’으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 일본의 산림세라피로드와 국내 치유숲길 사례를 통해 실제 이용객들이 치유숲길에서 어떤 치유 행태를 보이며 산림환경요소에 어떻게 반응하고인지하는 지에 대해 파악했다는 데 의미가 있다. 다만, 본 사례를 통해서 일반화하기에는 무리가 있으므로 다양한 케이스를 통해 후속연구가 이루어져야할 것이다.
Abstract
This study analyzed how the users experience the therapeutic effect in the therapeutic trails of Korea and Japan. It is focused on ‘the road of Otaki (0.9km)’ of Forest of Tokyo citizen in Japan and ‘the road of forest smell (1km)’ of Jangseong healing forest in Korea. In order to analyze the therapeutic behavior, the visitors in the trail surveyed and interviewed with PRS (Perceived Restorativeness Scale) method. As a result, first, the cardinal points (CP) in ‘the road of Otaki’ has clear and distinct characteristics rather than those in ‘the road of forest smell.’ Second, fascinating elements or contents acts as a powerful healing stimulus in both study sites. Third, through PRS analysis, the main therapeutic factor of ‘the road of forest smell’ is ‘being away’, and that of ‘the road of Otaki’ is ‘fascination’. This study has a significance that analyzing the visitor’s therapeutic behavior by carrying out the comparative study. However more research with many cases is needed to generalize.
