산림치유지도사의 직업선택 동기가 직무만족에 미치는 영향

숲에서의 활동이 많아지고 자연스럽게 산림치유의 관심이 고조되고 있는 시점이다. 본 연구는 현장에서 근무하고 있는 산림치유지도사 164명을 대상으로 직업선택 동기가 직무만족에 미치는 영향 및 직업선택 동기의 유형을 규명하였다. 직업선택 동기의 요인분석 결과, ‘개인적 가치추구’, ‘발전 가능성’, ‘사회적 인식’ 3개 요인으로 구분되었으며, 동기 요인의 강도는 ‘개인적 가치추구’, ‘발전 가능성’, ‘사회적 인식’ 순으로 나타났다. 직업선택 동기는 직무만족도와 정의 관계가 있었으며, 특히 직무만족도는 ‘사회적 인식’이 ‘발전 가능성’과 ‘개인적 가치추구’보다 상관이 강한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 직무만족도는 ‘내재적 만족 요인’이 ‘외재적 만족 요인’보다 높게 나타났다. 따라서, 산림치유지도사들은 ‘개인적 가치추구’와 ‘내재적 요인’을 중요하게 생각하므로 개인의 만족감, 행복감을 높일 수 있는 정책적 지원이 필요하다.
Abstract
As activities in the forest continue growing, interests in forest healing also heighten in recent years. This study surveyed 164 forest healing instructors currently working at job sites, and it identified the effects of their motives for career choices on their job satisfaction as well as the types of motives for career choices. Based on the analysis of their motives for career choices, 3 factors were identified: ‘individual pursuit of values,’ ‘potential for advancement’ and ‘social recognition’ where the order of priority within these 3 factors is as listed above. The motives for career choices were positively related to the level of job satisfaction, and in particular, ‘social recognition’ was found to be more strongly associated than ‘potential for advancement’ and ‘individual pursuit of values.’ Moreover, with regard to job satisfaction, ‘intrinsic satisfactory factors’ were deemed higher than ‘extrinsic satisfactory factors.’ Consequently, as forest healing instructors deem ‘individual pursuit of values’ and ‘intrinsic satisfactory factors’ more importantly, policywide supports are required to help those instructors elevate their sense of satisfaction and feeling of happiness.
