숲해설가의 특성과 직무만족에 관한 연구- 대구·경북지역을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 숲해설가의 특성을 조사하고, 직무만족도와의 관계를 규명하고자 수행되었다. 대구 및 경북지역에서 활동 중인 숲해설가 40명을 대상으로 직무관여, 자아실현, 인간관계, 행정업무 등으로 세분화하여 구조화된 직무만족도조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 숲해설가의 직무만족도는 5.00 중 평균 4.02로 나타났으며,직무관여, 자아실현, 인간관계는 높은 만족도를 나타낸 반면, 행정업무에 대한 만족도는 낮게 나타났다. 숲해설가의 일반적 특성인 성별, 연령, 월평균소득, 지원동기, 숲해설활동경력과 직무만족과의 관계에 대해 비교·분석한 결과, 평균소득, 지원동기, 활동경력 항목에 따른 직무만족의 차이가 유의미하게 나타났으며, 이러한 연구결과 숲해설가의 직무만족을 높이기 위해서는 근무지 환경 및 처우개선, 급여수준 개선 및 다양한 연령의 숲해설가 양성이 필요함을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the characteristics of forest interpreters and their level of jobsatisfaction. A structured job satisfaction survey was conducted on 40 forest interpreters working in the Daegu andGyeongbuk regions. The survey criteria were categorized into ‘self-realization’, ‘work itself’, ‘human relations’ andthe ‘administrative process’. The findings of the research showed that the average job satisfaction score of forestinterpreters was 4.02. While self-realization, work itself and human relations showed higher satisfaction,administrative process turned out to have lower satisfaction. The study comparatively analyzed the relationshipbetween job satisfaction and the following general characteristics of forest interpreters: gender, age, monthly averageincome, motivation behind choosing a job, and forest interpretation as a career. It was observed that the differencesin job satisfaction turned out to be significant in case of average income, motivation behind choosing a job, andforest interpretation as a career. The findings also showed that in order to increase job satisfaction of forestinterpreters, it is necessary to improve their workplace and treatment, wage hike, and forest interpreters in their 20sand 30s.
