Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the morphologic and syntactic characteristics of dependent noun ‘Yang’, ‘Jeok(Je)’ in 17th century korean. The result could be summarized as follows. A morphologic characteristics of dependent noun confirmed the constraints of back element. The ‘Yang’ combined with some elements of case marker, auxiliary marker, connection marker, back element ellipsis, etc. The ‘Jeok(Je)’ combined case marker, auxiliary marker, back element ellipsis, etc. The combination aspect confirmed in a <table 2> A syntactic characteristics confirmed a modifier, predicate, adnominal ending of the ‘Yang’ and ‘Jeok(Je)’. A modifier appeared a substantives and adnominal clause. a predicate appeared a verbs and adjective. And adnominal ending appeared a ‘-n’ and ‘-l’ A sentence component confirmed the sentence function. The 'Yang' functioned as subject, object, adverb. The 'Jeok(Je)' functioned as subject, object, adverb and predicate in sentence.
