This study aims to explore concrete strategies for cultural vocabulary education tailored to multinational Korean language learners by classifying types of cultural vocabulary and discussing pragmatic information and presentation methods that can accompany the educational content. It highlights the significance of cognitive and relational mediating activities for the active utilization of cultural vocabulary knowledge in actual language use and proposes a framework for such activities. Beyond merely selecting and classifying a list of cultural vocabulary, this research seeks to present the types of culture embedded in the vocabulary and the pragmatic information necessary for using the vocabulary effectively. Furthermore, the study discusses the potential of cultural vocabulary to serve as a fundamental foundation for cultivating multilingual and multicultural competencies among Korean language learners and proposes concrete strategies to integrate cultural vocabulary into the learners' prulilingual and prulicultural repertoire. The significance of this research lies in its contribution to the enhancement of language learners' abilities to engage with diverse cultural contexts more deeply and meaningfully. Future research is anticipated to explore various activities mediating cultural vocabulary in the Korean language education field and to verify their effectiveness.
