《번역소학》과 《소학언해》의 한자음 방점 비교 연구 - 復聲調字를 중심으로 -

Abstract

In this study, we compared and examined Sino-Korean tones of Multiple-tone characters in Beonyeoksohak and Sohakeonhae. This comparison was conducted by categorizing the differences into five types: ① differences due to variations in semantic interpretation, ② differences resulting from nativization, ③ differences due to confusion between the rising and departing tones, ④ differences due to errors, and ⑤ others. The results showed that in the case of the characters '難, 論, 磨, and 先,' differences in tones appeared due to varying interpretations of the phrase. Furthermore, we confirmed the possibility that the neutralization of tones, which typically occurs in Sino-Korean words of two or more syllables, also influenced the tonal notation in the original Classical Chinese text. Additionally, the types of differences attributed to the confusion between the Rising and Departing Tones and to presumed errors were mostly identified in the Beonyeoksohak. The most significant factor for this is likely that the Beonyeoksohak is a later edition, whereas the tone notation in the Sohakeonhae, which is the original edition, exhibits a more refined aspect.
