≪朝鮮王朝實錄≫ 蘇軾 관련 기사 勘誤 및 補足

Abstract

This is a research paper analyzing the text, Korean translation and annotations of the articles related to Su-shi in the Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty(≪朝鮮王朝實錄≫), and based on this, discussing the various errors found among them, and examining the simiarities and differences between the articles and the original works & episodes related to Su-shi, and considering the inconsistencies between Korean translation materials, in order to enhance the understanding of the Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty and complement this book. As a result of the research, I found that there were some examples of misidentification of the source of citation or the use of inaccurate biographical information in articles, also found cases in which some of Su-shi’s original works were quoted with some modifications, or even sometimes quoted out of their context. As for Korean translation, I was able to confirm some errors due to mistakes in punctuation and vocabulary, as well as a lack of understanding of the original works, also identify some inconsistencies due to mistranslations between Korean translation materials. Lastly, I could see that there were parts of the translation that cannot be concluded as mistranslations but need to be re-examined.
