사회복지사의 반성적 실천과정에 관한 질적 사례연구

본 연구는 사회복지 실천현장에서 반성적 실천과정(reflective practice process)을 기술한 질적 사례연구이다. 반성적 실천은 실천가가 자신의 실천과정을 스스로 평가하고 되돌아 보는 일종의 자기수퍼비전 과정을 의미한다. 분석에 사용한 자료는 다양한 실천현장에 종사하고 있는 사회복지사 14명을 대상으로 심층면접과 연구참여자들이 직접 작성한 성찰일지(Reflective Journal)를 통해 수집하였다. 분석결과 사회복지사는 실천과정에서 정형화된 문제상황을 다루기보다는 복잡하고 예측하기 어려운 상황을 일상적으로 대면하고 있으며, 실천상황과 끊임없는 대화를 통해 클라이언트가 마주한 독특한 문제상황을 해결하고자 노력하고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 사회복지사는 반성적 실천을 통하여 실천현장에 필요한 다양한 지식들을 스스로 획득하고, 현장과 자신에 대한 이해하는 기회를 가질 수 있었다. 따라 서 반성적 실천은 사회복지사들이 자신의 실천경험을 통하여 다양한 지식을 창출할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주고 있으며, 사회복지 전문직으로 성장하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
Abstract
This study investigated what is nature of reflection in various contexts of social worker's lives and How do the process of reflctive practice in the context of social work practice? The researcher used a qualitative research design, drawing on interview, documents data from fourteen participants, who were experienced, accomplished social worker with two to fourteen years of experience. Data was obtained through semi-structured interviews and reflective journals. The process of reflective practice was not a liner process but complex stages. As a process, reflective practice is undertaken in order to gain understanding, insight, new knowledge about practice. Therefore, obtaining insight through reflective pracice is a core activity in formulating practice knowledge. Results of the case study maintained that theory should emanate from practice and be used and tested in practice. To facilitate reflective practice, it is recommended that a detailed record of the situation or event be maintained. This may be done through the use of journals, diaries, and action research. Reflective practice has the potential to create a new sense from situations of uncertainty or uniqueness of social worker's experience.
