우리 나라의 교육문제를 지적하는 말 가운데에 가장 빈번하게 인용되는 것으로 ‘교사 중심의 강의식 수업’과 ‘지식 위주의 암기식 교육’ 등이 있으며, 이러한 비판은 사회과 교육에 있어서도 크게 다르지 않다. 이에, 사회과교육의 최근 추세는 “고급사고력(higher-order thinking)의 함양”을 강조하고 있으며, 그 중에서도 “창의적 사고(creative thinking)”에 많은 관심이 집중되고 있다. 한편, 창의적 사고는 매우 다양한 의미로 해석되고 있는데, 그에 대한 명확한 개념정의 보다는 그것이 어떤 특성을 가지고 있는지, 그 발현 과정에서 어떤 기능적 특성들이 활용되는지, 어떤 정의적 특성과 환경적 요인이 관련되는지, 그리고 그것을 함양하기 위한 구체적인 방법은 어떠한 것인지 하는 점들이 더욱 현실적이고 중요하다. 이에, 본 연구는 사회문제의 창의적 해결이라는 중요한 사회과 교육의 목표를 달성하기 위해 “창의적 사고”가 중요한 능력이라는 점에서 출발하여, 창의적 사고를 함양할 수 있는 구체적인 교수-학습방법을 제안하고자 한다.
Abstract
"Lecture leaded by teachers" & "education of memory work" are the most common comments regarding to our issues on education, which is not exceptional in social studies education. These days, tendency of social studies education is to emphasize on raising higher - order thinking & specifically on improving creative thinking. Meanwhile, creative thinking can be interpreted in various ways, more important and realistic things follow; recognition of what are characteristics of creative thinking rather than confirmation of definition of it. ; use of functional properties for manifestation of it ; relationship between affective characteristics, environmental factors and it ; suggestion of specific methods to improve it. Hereupon, this study was done in view point that "creative thinking" is important to achieve the aim of social studies education, unconventional problem-solving, & furthermore specific approach was made to teaching-learning method for improving "creative thinking".
