본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 학교에서 창의성 교육을 실현하기 위해 필요한 요소가무엇인지 검토하고, 창의적 인재를 양성하기 위해 나아가야할 교육 방향을 제시하는데목적이 있다. 한국과 미국의 대학생을 대상으로 한 선행연구에서 한국과 미국 모두 교육제도가 창의성을 저해하는 요인으로 드러났고, 한국 대학생들이 미국 대학생들에 비해 창의성을 덜 발휘하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 한국학생이 미국학생에 비해 주입식교육과 대학입시위주의 교육, 그리고 자신감 결여로 인해 창의성을 발휘하지 못하는것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과와 학교환경과 창의성 교육에 관한 연구를 바탕으로 한국에서 창의적 인재양성을 위한 교육의 방향을 제시하였다. 즉, 창의적 인재양성을 위해 학생들의 상상력을 지원하고, 전문 지식을 향상시키며, 미래사회의 가치에 대해 생각하고, 영역특수적 창의성 요소를 고려하며, 융합적 사고를 하도록 유도 하고, 개방적인 태도와 인간에 대한 고민, 학생과 교사의 열정을 지원하는 것이 필요하다.
Abstract
This study analyses the components for creativity education based on the survey ofprevious studies, and proposes educational orientation to develop creative human beingin Korea. According to a previous study comparing creativity education between Koreanand American college students, educational system appears itself more a hindrance thana help for creativity development in both of the two countries. Another study reportsthat American students show higher scores than Korean students in the question "Doyou think you demonstrate creativity in your life?". In view of these studies, andstudies about school environment and creativity education, we propose followingeducational orientations to develop creative human being: to support student'simagination, to improve domain-specific knowledge, to think about future value, toconsider domain-specific creativity, to induce convergent thinking, to have open mind,to think about human being, and to support passion of students and teachers.
