1인가구 청년의 온⋅오프라인 사회적 관계망과 삶의 만족도의 잠재계층 간 전이관계

Transitional Relationships among the Latent Classes of Online and Offline Social Networks and Life Satisfaction of Single-Person Household Youth

초록

본 연구의 목적은 대상 중심적 접근으로 1인가구 청년의 온⋅오프라인 사회적 관계망과 삶의 만족도의 잠재계층을 각각 규명하는동시에 유형 간의 관계를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울청년패널 1∼2차년도 자료를 활용하였다. 분석방법은 총 두 가지이다. 첫째, 1인가구 청년의 온⋅오프라인 사회적 관계망, 삶의 만족도의 잠재계층 유형을 구분하고자 잠재프로파일분석을 수행하였다. 둘째, 앞서확인한 잠재유형 간 관계를 입증하기 위한 목적에서 잠재전이분석을 실시했다. 연구결과, 1인가구 청년의 삶의 만족도 유형은 ‘저수준만족형(15.2%)’, ‘중수준 만족형(50.4%)’, ‘고수준 만족형(34.4%)’으로 나타났다. 그리고 1인가구 청년의 온라인 사회적 관계망의잠재계층 유형은 ‘접촉 미비형(10.3%)’, ‘친밀 편중형(70.9%)’, ‘다원 연락형(18.7%)’이었으며, 오프라인 사회적 관계망은 ‘교류 미약형(34.9%)’, ‘현실 중점형(40.5%)’, ‘다중 관계형(24.6%)’으로 구분되었다. 이와 함께, 1인가구 청년의 온⋅오프라인 사회적 관계망과삶의 만족도 잠재계층 유형 간의 전이관계를 분석했다. 이러한 연구결과는 온라인과 오프라인 사회적 관계망의 잠재계층 유형에 따라1인가구 청년의 삶의 만족도의 잠재계층에 속할 확률이 각각 다르다는 사실을 검증한 것이다. 끝으로, 과학적 근거자료 제시의 바탕하에 1인가구 청년의 삶의 만족도 증진 차원에서 정책과 실천적으로 제언하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the latent classes of online and offline social networks and life satisfaction of single-person household youth through a person-centered approach, and to analyze the relationship between the types. Data from the first and second years of the Seoul Youth Panel were utilized. There were two methods of analysis. First, this study performed a latent profile analysis to identify the latent class types of online and offline social networks and life satisfaction among single-person household youth. Second, this study conducted a latent transition analysis to demonstrate the relationship between the identified latent types. Consequently, the life satisfaction types of single-person household youth included ‘low-level satisfaction (15.2%),’ ‘medium-level satisfaction (50.4%),’ and ‘high-level satisfaction (34.4%),’ and the latent class types of online social networks of single-person household youth included ‘lacking contact (10.3%),’ ‘skewed intimacy (70.9%),’ and ‘multi-contact (18.7%),’ while offline social networks were categorized as ‘weak exchange (34.9%),’ ‘reality-oriented (40.5%),’ and ‘multi-relationship (24.6%).’ In addition, this study analyzed the transitional relationship between the types of latent classes of online and offline social networks and life satisfaction of single-person household youth. The results verified that the probability of belonging to the latent class of life satisfaction of young adults living in single-person households differs depending on the type of latent class of online and offline social networks. Lastly, based on the presentation of scientific evidence, policy suggestions and practical recommendations were made for enhancing the life satisfaction of single-person household youth.
