Abstract
Cognitive science(認知儒學) assumes the generality of human cognition in a broad sense. According to this, the things we commonly call reason and emotion are part of the same brain-based mental process. These are more comprehensive aspects of human cognition. But this is temporary, separated by certain theoretical needs. Meanwhile, the usual argument is that philosophical reasons are mainly composed of abstract reasons, and reason is suggested as the conflagration of those reasons. It's true that reason is an important origin of philosophical thought. Reason, however, is not all. The theory of generality of cognition raises the question of emotional origin. Therefore, emotional roots can be expected along with rational origins that gave birth to one particular philosophy. Let's tentatively call this root a sense of background. This article looks at what is called the background sense in Confucianismm. This article consists of three steps. First of all, the latest arguments about the generality of human cognition will be presented. Second, based on this, we will explore the possibility of the existence of a background sense that gives great direction to one discourse and drives the synchronisation of theories, citing Buddhism and Taoism as an example. Finally, I am going to clarify what is the background sense of Confucianismm, which distinguishes it from that of Buddhism and Taoism, and propose what is the philosophical significance of the use of the word discovery and background sense. In conclusion, this article will emphasize the meaning of warmth as the background sense of Confucianismm, contrasted with the pain of Buddhism, the stuffy of Taoism thought.
