연결망 분석을 활용한 중학교『사회』교과서의 통합적 내용구성 연구

7차 사회과 교육과정에서는 종합적이고 체계화된 사회인식 능력을 양성하기 위해 사회기능 혹은 사회문제에 사회과학의 학문적 내용이 스며든 통합적 접근을 강조하고 있다. 이는 사회적 이해(Social Understanding)를 통해 시민적 자질을 양성하고자 하는 합목적적이며 현실적인 통합 방식을 강조하고 있는 것이다. 그렇다면, 사회과 목적을 달성하기 위한 수단적 차원에서 현 교과서 내용이 어느 정도 통합적으로 구성되어 있는가를 탐구해보는 것은 통합 사회과의 현실을 파악하게 함과 동시에 미래를 위한 개선책 마련에 필요한 작업이다. 통합이 내용 혹은 영역들간의 관련성을 중심으로 논의되어야 하므로, 본 연구에서는 내용들 간의 연결 관계를 가시적으로 표현해주는 연결망 분석 방법을 사용하여 사회과 통합 구성의 정도를 고찰해보고자 한다. 구체적으로 사회과 통합을 위한 본격적인 노력을 실시한 6․7차 교육과정 시기 동안 제시된 통합구성의 전략들이 어느 정도 실제 교과서에 반영되어 있는가를 분석하여 우리나라 사회과가 지향하는 통합의 방향과 이후 통합적 내용 구성에 있어 시사점을 발견한다.
Abstract
The social understanding is considered as the elements for cultivating citizenship, integration is not a method but strategy of contents organization to achieve the Social Studies Goal. The integration means that construct the new whole thing by connecting interdisciplinary concept. The relation is very important idea when we discuss about content integration. I analysis the extent of integration in the middle school social studies textbook from the view point of relation which needs the interdependence for total social understanding. The Result is 1) Contents from Geography and History domain have many linkage line within itself in contrst to other Economics and Political Science 2) Geography is a good domain for integrating with other social science displine. 3) Culture is proper concept to integrate geography with history. 4) I recognize some trying to construct the pbrblem-based contents and to link academic content with real social life in the textbook.
