스포츠 그릿의 개념 탐색을 위한 척도의 요인 구조 비교

이 연구는 스포츠 그릿의 개념을 정립하고, 이를 측정하는 척도를 제작하기 위한 첫 단계로서 그릿 개념에 대한 명료한 의미를 탐색하고, 여러 그릿 척도를 서로 비교하여 요인의 적절성과 타당성을 확인하는 것이 목적이다. 2022년 U리그에 참가한 총 15개 대학 축구팀 선수 184명을 대상으로 운동선수 그릿 척도(전현수, 이기봉, 2022), 그릿 원척도 (Duckworth, Peterson, Matthews, & Kelly, 2007), 그리고 한국형 그릿 척도(이수란, 안태영, 박서단, 양수진, 2021)에 대한 응답을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 요인분석과 분산분석을 통해 각 척도별 요인구조를 추출하였고 선수 경기력에 따른 그릿 수준을 비교하였다. 연구결과, 운동선수 그릿 척도는 3요인 모형, 그릿 원척도는 2요인 모형으로 추출되어 원저자 요인구조와 동일하게 나타났으나 한국형 그릿 척도는 원저자가 제작한 3요인이 아닌 2요인으로 해석되었다. 향후 연구에서는 지난 10여 년간 수행된 그릿 연구에서의 그릿 개념과 척도를 보다 심층적으로 검토하고 이를 토대로 스포츠라는 영역 특수성이 반영된 스포츠 그릿의 개념 정립과 측정 도구 개발이 이루어져야 할 것이다.
Abstract
As the first step in establishing the concept of sports grit and developing a scale to measure it, this study explores the clear meaning of the existing grit concept and compares the grit scale to confirm the validity of the scales. 184 male soccer players belonging to a total of 15 college soccer teams participated in the U-League in 2022 were responded the athlete grit scale(Jun & Lee, 2022), grit original scale(Duckworth et al., 2007), and Korean grit scale (Lee et al., 2021). For the collected data, using the factor analysis and ANOVA, the factor structure for each scale was extracted, and the grit level according to the player's performance was compared. As a result, the athlete's grit scale was extracted with a 3-factor model and the grit original scale was extracted with a 2-factor model, showing the same factor structure as the original author's factor structure. However, the Korean grit scale was interpreted as two factors instead of three factors developed by the original author. In future study, grit concepts and scales in grit studies conducted over the past 10 years should be reviewed more in-depth, and based on this, the concept of sports grit reflecting the specificity of the field of sports should be established and measurement tools should be developed.
