Revenue management(RM), the practice of selling identical seats for different prices to maximize revenues, is concerned with making efficient use of a resource that becomes worthless after a given time. Since RM has been recognized as an important tool for business success in the airline industry, RM has received a lot of attention for many years. Over the four three decades, there are many researches focusing on the practice and theory of RM in airlines. Among them, pricing and seat allocation problems have been considered as key problems. Therefore In this paper, we focused on the airline environment’s improvement for a efficient RM operations of which the objective is to consider airline system environment, in order to maximize the overall expected total revenue. And this study is based on the K-Airline of R.O.K’s network carrier.
Abstract
