A Study on the Effects of information Asymmetry, Negotiation to set Budgets, Budgetary Slack, and Performance in Participative Budgeting

>본 연구는 참여예산에서의 정보불균형의 변수와 현실적인 예산과 예산슬랙을 분석하기 위하여 예산협상을 도입하여 분석하였다. 실험실 연구방법을 사용하여 정보불균형이 예산협상과 경제적 결과에 미치는 영향과 협상의 합의여부가 예산슬랙과 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구결과 예산설정 과정에서 정보불균형이 심하면 심할수록 예산협상이 합의에 이른 경우는 예산슬랙에 큰 영향을 미친다. 또한 정보불균형이 낮은 경우에는 예산합의시 슬랙에 영향을 미치지는 않으나 정보불균형하에서 합의는 높은 예산슬랙을 암시하고, 결렬시에는 낮은 예산슬랙을 의미한다. 본 연구를 토대로 시사점, 연구의 한계, 그리고 향후 연구방향 등을 제시하였다.
Abstract
>This study used a laboratory experiment to examine the effect of information asymmetry on Athe budget negotiation process and the resulting economic consequences and consider how budgetary slack and subordinate performance differ when budget negotiation end in agreement versus disagreement. The result indicate that when there was high information asymmetry, superiors made significantly greater negotiation concessions. also when there was low information asymmetry, no affect budgetary slack.
