초록
One of the important goals in the defense industry is to improve reliability and availability by improving the performance of weapon systems in operation. To improve the performance of electrooptical equipment involved in rotational movements within weapon systems, rotary joints are used to prevent cable twisting. The application of rotary joints using an adapter inside a temperature-controlled air duct is highly efficient because design changes can be minimized. In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and structural analyses were performed to identify adapter designs that minimized flow loss in the air ducts of air-cooled equipment. The reliability was verified through 3D printer mockup testing.
