초록

본 연구는 발화의 종결어미 자리에 나타나는 ‘어 가지고’의 화용적쓰임 가운데 화자의 불만과 관련된 태도를 나타내는 용법과 해당 텍스트 및 담화의 특성을 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. ‘어 가지고’는 현대 한국어 구어 담화에서 높은 빈도로 나타남에도 불구하고 이전 연구에서 본격적인 논의가 이루어진 바가 없다. 이에 실제 발화 자료를 가지고 담화 분석을 실시하여 ‘어 가지고’가 청자 및 벌어진 상황에 대한 화자의 ‘불평불만, 후회, 안타까움, 비난’을 나타내는 화용적 기능을 수행함을 논의하였으며 주로 혼잣말의 형태로 나타나고 감탄사와 공기함 또한 밝혀냈다.
