초록

본 연구에서는 담화분석 기법을 이용해 실제 대화를 분석하여 수사의문문에서 목적격 조사 ‘을/를’이 나타나는 이유를 고찰했다. 수사의문문이란 청자에게서 답을 구하는 것이 목적인 일반적인 의문문과는 달리 상대방의 이전 발화나 행동에 대해 반박을 하는 메시지를 전달함으로써 자신의 주장을 표명하는 의문문을 말한다. 대화 참여자들 사이에서 의견 불일치가 있는 경우, 화자는 상대방의 이전 발화나 행동에 대해 동의하지 않거나, 불만을 토로하거나, 반박을 하기 위해 수사의문문을 사용할 수 있다. 이 때, 조사 ‘을/를’이 사용되면 조사가 붙은 요소들이 강조가 되기 때문에 화자의 주장이 더 강하게 드러나게 된다. 또한 본 연구에서는 조사 ‘을/를’ 뿐만 아니라 상대방의 이전 발화에 대해 이의를 제기하거나 반박할 때 쓰이는 문법적 패턴에 대해서도 살펴보았다.
