품사 분류 기준으로서의 ‘형태’에 대한 국어교육적 고찰

Abstract

Part of speech classification in school grammar focuses on certain functions performed by language units in sentences. However, these functions usually appear in a certain form. For example, the characteristics of the form of verbs are inevitably different from other sentence components. The classification of parts of speech centered on ‘form’ is a dualistic grasp of the combination of body language and postposition and the combination of stem and ending. As a result, it has the advantage of Korean language education in that it consistently shows the grammatical characteristics of verbs in Korean sentences by emphasizing the characteristics of verbs. The ‘form’ criterion for classification of parts of speech has problems that the concept of ‘words’ is difficult to be applied consistently, and the classification of predicative case postposition is ambiguous. However, the question of predicative case postposition is still a question that arises even when ‘distribution’ is used as the classification criterion. It can be said that this is not a problem of the standard of part-of-speech classification, but rather a problem of the specificity of ‘Ida’. And in the case of the problem of word concepts, in the field of education that learners, intuitive understanding and explanation of language phenomena seem more important than the consistency of the concepts.
