한국어 접속부사의 사용 양상 - 텍스트 유형에 따른 사용 양상을 중심으로 -

Abstract

The object of this study is to compare how to use conjunctive adverbs according to text types. For this, I compared and analyzed the usage of conjunctive adverbs in spoken corpus and written corpus. These corpora consisted of formal spoken corpus, informal spoken corpus, novel texts, newspaper texts, academic texts and other written texts. Based on this analysis, conjunctive adverbs were more frequently used in spoken language(2.87/100words) than written language(0.93/100words). And conjunctive adverbs such as ‘그런데, 그러니까, 그래서, 그럼’ were more frequently used in spoken language but conjunctive adverbs such as ‘그러나, 그렇지만, 즉, 따라서, 그러므로’ were more frequently used in written language. Frequency and usages of conjunctive adverbs vary according to text types. Conjunctive adverbs were more frequently used in informal narrative discourses and formal conference discourses than informal conversations and lectures. And conjunctive adverbs such as ‘그런데, 그러니까’ were more frequently used in informal conversations and formal conference discourses but conjunctive adverbs such as ‘그래서, 그러니까’ were more frequently used in informal narrative discourses and informal conversations. Conjunctive adverbs were the most rarely used in newspaper texts in written language. And conjunctive adverbs such as ‘그러나, 그리고, 따라서, 그러므로’ were the more frequently used in academic texts than other written texts. This differences according to text types can be applied to teaching speaking and writing in Korean language teaching as a foreign language.
