초록

Abstract

이 연구의 목표는 『한국어 기본어휘 의미 빈도 사전』(2014)의 편찬 방법론과 편찬 과정을 소개하고 사전의 편찬 과정에서 부딪힌 문제점과 해결 과정이 말뭉치 언어학과 한국어 교육에서 함의하는 바를 제시하는 데에 있다. 더 상세히 살피자면, 한국어교육을 위한 기본어휘의 선정과 어휘의 의미 항목별 사용 빈도를 실제적 자료(말뭉치)를 통하여 조사한 과정과 그 성과를 밝힘으로써 말뭉치언어학이나 사전학 분야에서 활용할 수 있는 기초적인 계량 분석의 방법론을 제시하는 데에 목적을 둔다. 이 연구는 다음의 몇 가지의 주제를 중심으로 이루어졌다. 1) 1998년~2014년에 이르는 한국어 의미빈도 사전의 편찬 경위2) 기본어휘의 선정과 의미빈도 조사에 관한 방법론3) 의미빈도 사전의 과정에서 부닥친 문제와 해결4) 의미빈도 사전을 통해 새롭게 가지게 된 의문들이 주제들을 꿰뚫는 것은 말뭉치를 기반으로 하여 지식과 정보를 추출하고 이를 다시 언어 교육과 연구라는 분야에서 활용 가능한 지식으로 만들어내어 가는 과정이다. 이것은 말뭉치를 기반으로 한 어휘 연구의 한 예에 불과하지만, 앞으로의 말뭉치 기반 언어 연구의 방법론적 심층화를 위한 논의의 한 계기가 되기를 바란다.
