Two Factors of Reconstruction: Pied-piping and Dependency

Abstract
본 논문은 재구성현상을 동반이동이라는 구조적 동인과 해석상 의존관계라는 의미적 동인의 관점에서 분석하고, 그러한 분석이 재구성과 이동유형을 연관짓는 기존의 연구들과 어떤 차이를 보이는지 밝히고자 한다. 우선, 재구성의 구조적 동인으로서 동반이동한 모든 표현들은 반드시 재구성되어야 함을 보였다. 의무적 재구성은 의문문과 같은 비논항 위치로의 이동구문에서 예외없이 발생함을 보임으로써 기존 연구의 개념적경험적 문제점을 극복할 수 있었다. 또한 의무적 재구성으로 형성되는 운용자-변항구조가 동질적 연쇄일 경우에 한하여 모든 연쇄들이 논리 형태의 제반규칙들의 적용을 받는다는 점을 새롭게 주장하였다. 재구성은 이동한 표현이 해석상 의존관계에 있는 요소를 포함하는 구문에서도 발생하는데, 이는 비논항 위치로의 이동과 논항 위치로의 이동 모두에 해당한다. 특히, 논항 위치로의 이동이 일어난 경우 결속이론과 연관된 구문과 양화사 영역해석과 연관된 구문이 재구성과 관련하여 차이점을 나타냄을 밝혔다. 양화사의 재구성은 동일절내의 다른 양화사 또는 양화작용역표현과의 상호작용에 기인하는 반면, 지시적 의존관계에 의한 재구성은 그런 제한을 받지 않는다. 본 연구의 연구 결과는 기존 분석들에 대한 대안 제시와 함께, 통사의미적 해석 자질들은 물론 주제나 초점과 같은 담화구조적 자질들이 어떻게 구조적으로 반영되어야 하는지에 대한 새로운 관점을 시사한다.
