Abstract
This paper is an attempt to introduce the procedure of compilation of「Korean Usage Dictionary」and its characteristics as an active dictionary. For the compilation of 「Korean Usage Dictionary」, we will use learner error corpus and Korean balanced corpus. From users' point of view, we pay attention not only to offering Korean learners as users of this dictionary the meaning of a word, but also to giving the usage including the error information of the word. This paper will discuss the following: definition and scope of the usage, procedure of analysing Korean learner corpus, organization of headwords and characteristics of 「Korean Usage Dictionary」.
