준술어 개념을 이용한 어휘관계 기술 - 전문용어 데이터 구축의 관점에서 -

본고는 Mel’cuk & Polguère(2008)과 Polguère(2012) 등에서 제안된 준술어(quasi-prédicat) 개념을 소개하고 그 특징에 대해 한국어를 중심으로 살펴보았다. ‘의미소(sémantème)’는 온전한(plein) 어휘 요소(불. lexie, 영. full lexical unit)의 기의(signifié)를 가리키는 것으로, 뽈귀에르 교수는 의미소를 ‘결속(liant)’의 유무와, 사태와 존재의 구분이라는 두 가지 기준을 이용하여 네 가지 유형으로 구분하였다. 본고에서 다루는 준술어는 결속의 의미를 가지며 존재를 지시하는 유형이다. 이러한 논의 과정에서 개념적 유사성이 있는 준술어와 술어명사의 개념과 특성에 대해서도 비교하였다. 기존의 전문용어 기술이나 데이터 구축에서는 언어학적 관점에서 언어 정보가 충분히 반영되지 않고 있다는 반성과 함께 본고에서는 준술어를 이용할 경우 전문용어의 언어학적 정보를 더 풍성하게 기술할 수 있다는 점을 밝히었다. 첫째, 검토대상이 되는 전문용어가 준술어일 경우 뜻풀이에 준술어와 내재적 술어(prédicat inhérent)가 표상하는 사태를 이용하여 정의항을 기술할 것을 제안하였다. 둘째, 준술어인 전문용어가 가지는 어휘 결합의 특성을 준술어적 특성을 이용하여 데이터베이스화하는 방안에 대해서도 구체적으로 다루었다.
Abstract
This paper aims to introduce the concept of quasi-predicate proposed by Mel’cuk & Polguère(2008) and Polguère(2012), and examine the characteristics, focusing Korean examples. They divide semantemes into four types according to two criteria: binding(F. liant), and situation vs. entity. Quasi-predicate, or one of the four sementeme types, refers to entities which have binding meanings. Meanwhile, we compare the quasi-predicates to the predicate nouns for the clear distinction. The current paper shows that the plentiful linguistic data can be described through utilizing the features of quasi-predicate of terms. Firstly, term’s definition needs to be described by using the situation where the term and inherent predicate appear together. Secondly, the lexical combinatorial characteristics also can be acquired through using the quasi-predicate concept.
