한국어교육학 분야 말하기 피드백 논문의 연구 방법론적 고찰

본 연구는 한국어교육학 분야의 말하기 피드백 논문에 나타난 연구 방법론적 특징을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2000년부터 2024년 1분기까지 수행된 총 66편의 말하기 피드백 연구물을 분석한 결과, 일차적 연구가 이차적 연구에 비해 압도적으로 많았고, 일차적 연구 중에서는 혼합 방법 연구를 사용한 연구가 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 양적 연구 방법은 기술적 연구가 가장 많이 수행되었고, 질적 연구 방법은 관찰법이 사용된 해석적 질적 연구가 많았으며, 조사 연구 방법은 폐쇄형 문항을 사용한 설문지법이 가장 많이 사용되고 있었다. 그리고 말하기 피드백 연구는 연구 유형 분류상의 문제와 연구 방법론에 대한 이해 부족 문제가 나타난 쓰기 피드백 연구와 달리 연구 방법론에 대한 이해 부족 문제만 나타나고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 말하기 피드백 연구가 좀 더 활발하게 이루어져야 하며, 다양한 종류의 연구 방법이 강구되어야 하고, 질적 연구 진행 시 적용할 수 있는 다양한 연구 접근법에 대한 고찰이 필요함을 지적하였다. 또한 말하기 피드백 연구의 특징을 담을 수 있는 연구 유형 분류 틀에 대한 고민도 필요함을 밝히고 있다.
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the research methodological characteristics of oral feedback studies in the field of Teaching Korean to Speakers of Other Languages. A total of 66 oral feedback studies conducted from 2000 to the first quarter of 2024 were analyzed, and it was found that primary research overwhelmingly outnumbered secondary research, and that among primary research, mixed-method research was the most common. In quantitative research methods, descriptive studies were the most common; in qualitative research methods, interpretive qualitative research using observational methods was the most common; and in survey research methods, questionnaires using closed-ended questions were the most common. In addition, the oral feedback research showed only a lack of understanding of research methodology, unlike the writing feedback study, which showed problems in classifying research types and a lack of understanding of research methodology. Based on these findings, it was pointed out that future oral feedback research needs to be conducted more actively using various research methods, and that it is necessary to consider various research approaches that can be applied when conducting qualitative research. In addition, it was also revealed that it is necessary to consider a framework for categorizing research types that can capture the characteristics of oral feedback research.
